Great product. Living in the desert, sometimes I need to water a lot. I had to hold the trigger on the old-type nozzle sprayers for a long time, putting stress on my hands, but not with this nozzle. The thumb control is the best, eliminating the trigger, and the grip makes watering easy.

The first year we had this hose nozzle, I LOVED it. It was easy to use and had a nice grip that didn’t get too hot in the sun. But it didn’t do well being outside all year, and by this summer, pieces of the grip started falling off at the slightest touch, and more water squirted out of the base than the nozzle itself. At first I thought it just needed a new rubber gasket thing (it came with an extra), but then I realized the water was actually spurting out the sides (at the bottom) rather than out through the connection of the nozzle to the hose. Luckily, I’d purchased two at the same time, thinking I was going to use one in the front and one in the back, but as I’d never actually swapped out the one in the front, the second nozzle was still sitting unopened, ready to put into use when my husband got too fed up with getting soaked while watering the roses & blueberries. Maybe if we bring the nozzle indoors in the months when we’re not using it, this second one will last longer? We really do like the grip and the ease of turning the water on & off with just your thumb. So much easier on the wrists when you don’t have to squeeze all the time!

It seems like every year I have been having to buy band new “heavy duty” garden hose nozzles for our modest yard. Honestly we are not that hard on them and our weather here is relatively mild so it’s been frustrating to have to replace these every year. Most are honestly cheaply made regardless of description and not built to last even one year, so I am hoping that this nozzle does the trick. I was impressed with the first one after using it so I bought another one for the back yard. and we shall see how they hold up! Rest assured I will be back with an update on this Heavy Duty Garden Hose Nozzle to let you all know how the quality holds up!

You have to set it down lightly or the plastics on it will eventually break and the connection to the hose will start leaking. I’ve not been abusing it, but the occasional drop to the cement from hip height does occur and this product does not tolerate it well. Consider that this is a youth’s preferred method of re-stowing this device, so leverage your situation and willingness to always set it down lightly into your purchase. Otherwise, it’s a very good product with a good selection of spray variation, but some of them are not in my wheelhouse of need and I only use about 3 of the settings. After the first one gave up the ghost (in about a year), I repurchased another, since it is a good value for the money. Better than those ridiculous spray wands or any product you’ll find at your local HD store.
