Love this holder, simple in design yet very effective. I’ve had so many of these that just don’t hold the weight of the phone, or are impossible to angle the right way for using Google maps. This is perfect, and love the fact the clip closes right up at the back, making it suitable for vertical and horizontal vents. So good, as a driving instructor, I’ve bought additional ones for family members and recommended to pupils, who all see it in action. Great product, and well worth the money.

With this car mount, you do not have to worry about “suction power” or adhesion. It clips right in your air vent and screw the back to tighten it up. I have a Samsung S21+ with a thick sturdy case on it. It held it up, held it straight, and was very easy to release and pop my phone back in after making a quick stop on the way to my destination.

Like the new vent clip, releases better than other models I’ve had. Don’t like how pokey the side clamps are on top and bottom as I grab my phone to retrieve it. They stab your fingers. Not like draw blood just very uncomfortable. I’ve had it a couple weeks using it in Freightliner.

I have a 2015 Prius, and most of these phone holders that operate by a protruding adjustable hook that you insert into the vent which is then supposed to “hook” onto the back of the vent. You tighten that by pulling it tight via a threaded plastic “nut”. The problem is many vents are too deep for that. That hook is never long enough to catch the back of the vent. My Prius vents are like that. THIS phone holder is different. It uses a clamp to attach to the vent. It doesn’t matter if your vent louver is too deep, the clamp attaches regardless of how deep that vent is. This worked perfectly. It was not designed to fit onto those ubiquitous round vents on many cars. It WILL clamp onto some, but those vents usually revolve to direct air. Obviously, if a phone is hanging off of one of those, that would not work well. But for most vents with strait louvers, this works perfectly. Five full stars for this one.

I’ve used this brand of hands free phone mounts in my cars, my girlfriend’s car, and my mom’s cars. After years of use my old one broke. It was mounted in the CD slot on my car. I ordered a new but that particular one was no longer available. Instead I was directed to this improved model. This one does not have the CD slot mount, but the air vent clip works well. I’m happy with this purchase. Will buy another if needed.

My previous phone holder wouldn’t stop rattling when the phone wasn’t in it. Then it started to rattle when the phone was in it. So I got this thing. So far it doesn’t seem to rattle. It seems sturdy. Good value for it. Fits my phone well. I did not use the vent clip. I used the precious mount point and it works well. Easy to place. I don’t know how the vent clip function works but I’m very happy with this.
