This works great. It is easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store. It is large enough to fit over our plates and other microwave-safe dishes. Only one disappointment — it has a lot fewer ventilation holes than the old, plastic colander that we used for decades. The numbered auto-programs on our larger, Sharp Microwave don’t work as well with this new cover as they did with the old colander. This is particularly noticeable on the omelette setting. The omelettes came out wonderfully moist and fluffy before, but they come out dry and leathery with this cover. I think it is because the sensors adjust the cooking power based on measurements of the moisture in the air. Less steam reaches the sensors when using this cover. For other dishes this works great — just not for omelettes.

It’s what I would call just ok. It did seem to get a little malformed after using it once. Also a little hard to flatten it again.

I just received this in the mail a week ago and I find that it works very well. It covers large dinner place with no problem. Absolutely no splattering in my microwave because of this. I would just worn that when you do pick up the lid from the dish Put it aside and then take your dish out. There is a lot of steam which is good. That’s what heats up your dinner but just don’t burn yourself. It’s not the fault of the design of the splatter proof top it just accumulates a lot of steam. It does its job. It’s not heavy. Yes it does. Keep the heat in And all you do is rinse it out and dry it and put it back in the microwave for storage until the next time you’re going to use it. I’m very happy that I did buy it.
