Wish I would have bought this a long time ago. I enjoy cooking, and onions are a mainstay in my recipe. So I’m slicing a lot of onions holding with one hand and slicing with the other. Then I tried sticking a fork in the onion on one side, and that did help some, but still cumbersome. So I bought this and after using it I slapped my forehead, i.e. why didn’t I get this a log time ago! The tongs provide a guide for you knife, so each slice will be the same width. Love it.

It works. Holds tomato, onion in place while you slice/dice. Slices can be thin or regular depending on which tong used to slice. Makes chopping much easier.

I bought this to help me hold onto onions and other round fruits or veggies I needed to cute. You know when you get to close to the “butt” and then you can barely keep slicing because its hard to hold onto… this works perfectly. It was sooo easy to cut my onion and use the whole thing and be able to get slices from the entire onion versus having to chop up the ends differently..
Trick: Don’t ask me how, and I don’t usually believe “tips and tricks” for onions. BUT.. If you put a wet paper towel near you when cutting an onion, your eyes do not water. I learned this from a Mexican gal friend I have and it really does work. 😉

This tool is very sharp and can easily pierce an onion, or cucumber any vegetable that you would slice. The spacing of the ‘spears’ allows a great variation of widths of slices. I can see a long future using this tool.
