I really like that the cork screw and vacuum are constantly charged. I would have preferred that the vacuum fit over the outside of the stopper instead of the middle. Makes it harder to know when you are positioned correctly. The main defect is that they only supply 2 stoppers. I like Red, wife likes White, and occasionally I will open a bottle of port, or a special wine to go with a grilled steak. I have not been able to find any replacement stoppers online. I tried to buy some replacement stoppers that looked the same (OWO stoppers), but they did not work. Recently I saw an add for EZBASICS hand pump with stoppers. The stoppers looked the same, and wasn’t too expensive, so I tried them. THEY WORKED! So now I have a spare pump and 6 stoppers total.

Great gift idea, got this for my wife who just picked up a bar to finish our lounge area. The blue lighting is subtle so won’t blast the area at night. The tools are very easy to use and opening a bottle of wine is SIMPLER than ever before. Our friends can’t get over the system and everybody wants to try it out. I love this thing, now my wife doesn’t mess up the wine trying to remove the cork. Best of all the aerator and the seal. It pumps out excess air and corks the bottle. I don’t know but I can say I’ve not noticed wine losing its taste, though I’m no wine connoisseur. Anyway, great item to buy and use or give as a gift. Don’t know about longevity of battery it recharges on the base. I haven’t had it very long soooo… again I don’t know
