I bought this for my 5 month old puppy cuz he needs to be occupied most times cuz he gets bored easily. I bought the medium intermediate one thinking it would keep him busy for awhile. He caught on within a couple minutes of trying to figure it out. I have to take it away from him right when he’s done getting all the treats out cuz he started to bite on the wood part.

Our Havamalt can breeze through this puzzle. Going to get the more difficult version for her next time. She’s been doing dog puzzles for years and this one is a little easy for her, but she loves it.

Our two 8-month-old cats really like this 3×3 puzzle. We hide dry cat food, dry treats, and small squares of seaweed in the holes. The puzzle seems sturdy enough to handle cat claws and biting as they learn to swipe on the puzzle pieces. The small holes at the top of each piece is helpful for me to peek in and see if I need to refill treats in the pieces. The cats also use those holes to sniff out the treats. The only minor issue is that dry cat food in kibble form can get stuck under the grooves along which pieces slide, so we use tweezers to pull them out. I have yet to try cleaning the puzzle.

My dog loves this and it’s well made out of wood with the doors in sturdy plastic. The doors move very easily but gives him enough challenge to nudge with his nose or push with his paw. It’s so fun to watch him find the treats. Wonderful toy!

This is a decent toy for a dog. I was hoping it would be a bit more challenging for my dog (pit-mix), he gathers all the treats within a minute. Overall it is a sturdy item and will likely last for a while.

I took a chance on this for a couple cats and it’s working out great. The squares move easily and my younger cat can get through the puzzle in about an hour. That time will likely improve as he figures out the mechanics of moving squares into empty spots… my other older cat hasn’t shown an interest yet, but with treats involved, it’s only a matter of time.
