I saw other toilet seat lifting devices that you attach, and those got mixed reviews, so figured I’d try one that doesn’t attach. Really basic to use, and also feel having something like this to keep in your pocket could be helpful for public toilets.

Awesome idea, and if the attached ones don’t work for you, perhaps this one will.

From the picture, you would think that the lifter part of the product would have some kind of rubberized surface coating to help lift the seat; but the entire product is made from very light ABS plastic. It’s very smooth. I’ve dropped the toilet lid multiple times tying to open it because it would just slide off the smooth plastic surface. The build is super light, like a really cheap toy light. Feels like if you dropped it on the floor it would shatter.

We picked this because my girlfriend has this germ thing and those handles that attaches just makes them an extension of said toilet lid which kind of defeats the purpose of using a handle to not touch the lid.

We like the holder, and the 3M style sticky holds it secure. I would suggest that they redesign the mount so that the grey part that touches the lid is pointed down. Again, the thought is to not touch anything that comes in contact with the toilet (lol – I can see a ton of jokes here). Having the grey part sticking up means there’s a chance you could grab that instead of the handle.

There’s a constant argument with my wife about whether the seat is up or down, and this device is great. You hold a handle, and you can lift the seat up. Then, you can hang it with the included housing without getting your hands messy. I used to lift the seat with my foot when I was wearing shoes or slippers. Now that I have this little device, I have an alternative. The only issue is it’s a little short, so I have to handle it very gingerly to make sure that I am not touching anything that touches the toilet. I still wash my hands every time I leave the bathroom, no matter what the cause of the visit to the toilet, but this little device just makes it a little bit smoother and easier to deal with the seat. Recommended.
