Bought this originally for a trip to make sure my phone would stay charged. This phone case comes with a screen protector for the front of the phone and the battery case itself. You do need to use your own iPhone cable and brick. Since I already had a screen protector installed that was in good shape, I kept on the one I already had and it fit just fine. Right away when I opened this case I noticed how soft it felt! It came about half charged and instructions indicated to charge fully for first use which took a few hours. Since the initial charge, I have charged my phone via the battery case a couple times from the one full charge to the case. To charge your phone, you hit the button on the back once and twice to stop charging. Be sure to read the installation instructions about keeping the phone at a small angle as you could rip out the tip of the charging mechanism. From what I see, it seems very sturdy but instructions are very clear. Side profile shows it doesn’t extend much past the phone itself, which means I’d be careful dropping it face down. Also, the battery adds some substantial weight to the phone, but its not too heavy for me to still use it for everything I need. All in all, I am loving this case more than I thought I would and instead of using it for a backup as I originally intended, I am keeping it on full time.

I have used these dual battery chargers before and recently got my wife one due to her frequent travel. What is nice about this brand is the SINGLE port that charges BOTH your iPhone and the extra battery. My wife’s has a different port to charge her peripheral battery. I much prefer this design. As for the fit and function, it does what it claims. The extra battery is simple to use when needed. The fit is tight and installation was a breeze. I was hoping to get a much softer silicone (like my previous silicone) as this unit feels a bit more slippery than my previous case. However, with use, I am hoping the soft TPU material becomes less slippery as it ages. All in all, this is a great addition and is not overly heavy.

I got this to take on a trip so that I would not have to worry about my phone running out of battery charge on long days. It does give me a longer time between charges, though not a full 200%, more like 150%. with this expensive a case you would expect it to come with a charging cord, but it does not. I have other cords, but I keep them where I usually use them and had to detach one to use it with this. It took a long time (hours) to charge.
I don’t think this will be my everyday case because, while the feel of the case is nice to the touch, it makes the phone heavy and it won’t fit easily into my pockets because of the bulk. There is no cover for the camera so you need to buy that separately in order to keep the camera lenses from getting dirty or scratched.
There are instructions to put the case on the phone, though they are obviously written by someone for whom English is not a native language. You do have to be careful putting it on and taking it off so that the plug on the case doesn’t get bent which would ruin the charging connection.

I like the sturdiness of this battery case and that it’s relatively easy to slide my phone into it. Like all battery cases it is bulky and heavy and won’t fit into the back pocket of tight jeans. Charging my phone from 38% to 81% used up a little over half of its capacity but wasn’t too slow, so it’s good for giving you that extra charge if you’re out and about all day. I haven’t yet depleted the battery completely so I don’t know what happens to the battery case in that scenario, and I hope to never find out. Charging the case takes a very long time though, which is ok since I expect to mainly need to charge it overnight.
