I LOVE THESE SCISSORS! I bought this pair for my Daughter because she came over and used mine and fell in love and there was NO WAY I was parting with mine! I have had mine a couple of years and they are just as sharp as they were the day I purchased them! I STILL don’t know how that is but I love it! They are my favorite kitchen scissors and I also use them for other things and throw them in my dishwasher sometimes to disinfect them! NO RUST!

We were in a cottage during vacation and they had these shears. We liked them and ordered two pair when we got home. They are great, and we are wondering if they are dishwasher proof. We washed them by hand while on holiday, but have a dishwasher here at home. So far we are really liking them and they work great for cutting meats up for our fur baby!

I wanted something to let me cut up meat into smaller chunks for my dogs without having to use a knife and fork (if cooked) or getting the meat all mangled up (if raw). These scissors/shears do the job just fine. The price is good too.
edit: March 7th, 2013: While using the scissors to cut some meat this week, the scissors broke. One of the plastic finger holes snapped and broke, so that it’s unusable now. (Tried to glue it, but the glue doesn’t hold.) This doesn’t change that the scissors worked fine for as long as they did, nor that the price was good, but the durability of the product just took a huge dive. I lowered the rating from a 5 to a 2. I’ll go looking for another pair and try to use it longer, instead of posting an immediate review.

I keep this pair in the kitchen drawer mostly for cutting open packaging, but have used it instead of a knife to cut chicken skin, scallions, etc. Stainless steel cutting blades rinse off and drainboard air dry without rusting. Light weight and surprisingly sharp. Price was dirt cheap about $4 delivered, so an outstanding value as well.

I use to purchase many of the Betty Crocker items when General Mill sold them. I never purchased the scissors but everything else I had purchased back then was of good quality. I’m not sure if these were from that era or the newly formed Betty Crocker line, but the quality is pretty poor. They perform as expected, but I felt after using the scissors once they wouldn’t last very long. The plastic is flimsy and the sturdiness of the scissor action feels like they will break if I cut something thicker other than paper. I think I purchased them more for nostalgia and assuming they were well made. Not the case. Recommendation, but yourself a pair of good quality kitchen scissors.
