This pad fits in the center of my cat’s cushiony bed, it is not quite 14″ by 20″, with the tight fitting cover it is closer to 13″ by 19″, another inch or two wider would have been perfect, but my cat does not mind it and makes it work for him. The cover is thin, a flimsy material and the zipper does not exactly line up with the wire for the plug, which is on the corner of the pad, the zipper does not extend to the corner, it is only a half of an inch but since the wire cord is thick sits awkwardly, more noticeable when placed on a flat surface. The extra blanket is slightly larger than the pad, I just fold it underneath to help it stay put and not bunch up under the cat. The digital control is easy to read and to use and program. Overall, this is not a bad heating pad, it heats up well, if you have a small pet or pet bed this will work for your pet.

In the description, it says this heating pad will get up to 140 degrees F. Then, in the product pictures, it’s showing that it will get up to 131 degrees F. On the unit itself, the display shows it maxing out at 141 degrees F. After being plugged in for 20+ minutes on the highest temperature, there’s absolutely NO WAY it’s getting that hot or anywhere close. I would say it’s getting just slightly warm. Maybe I got a dud.

The cover is soft, the little blanket/pad that comes with it is soft. The cover fits nicely overall, and the control is simple to use. It’s just not functioning properly. Even when you put your hand directly on the unit under the cover, it’s still just barely warm. Bummer.

I understand that a pet may not need it to get that hot temperature-wise, but don’t advertise it if it’s not true.

I got this for my cat – we keep the house pretty cold during the day and I want her to keep warm without sleeping on my keyboard while I work. I like that the heated part of the pad is padded on both sides so the heat that emanates is gentle on her little cat body. It only goes up to 140 degrees so it doesn’t get very hot but feels very nice and warm when your hand is flat on it. You can adjust both the heat and timer so the bed is just the right temp (one of my cats sleeps hotter than the other so needs the temp lower) and turns off when you want it to. The heated pad is covered by a thick nylon material so it can be easily wiped clean if something spills on it and soaks through the fitted, zippered furry cover and accompanying right sized blanket. It’s the purrfect set to keep your furry babies warm.
