These are great and are larger than expected. These hold far more soil than I expected, almost and entire 42L bag of soil, making them perfect for your root veggies like carrots and potatoes. The side handles are not sturdy enough and should be made out of a different material as the soil is quite heavy. Minus the handle issue these are great.

I finally got to planting my potatoes. The handles on one of the bag broke lifting the first stage of dirt. There was about 6-7 inches of dirt. The same as the one next to it. Do not trust the handles.

Have started growing potatoes and it is going well

Arrived in 24 days weekends included which is earlier than expected. However measurements are slightly smaller than advertised. Height of planter is about 16 inches tall instead of 17.8 inches, diameter is about 12inches & 13.5inches which means slightly oval instead of round. Otherwise material looks good, similar to another brand that I’ve bought. Should be strong enough for the purpose. However I thought there was a netting on the window that opens at the bottom but there’s not. I’m hoping earth would not fall out if I have to open to see if potatoes are growing in there which is the reason I got them for. We’ll see…..

These bags are great for growing things, but it really is too small for my potatoes. I have already outgrown the bucket and they have not been in there long. Trying to decide if I put it in a larger container or what to do. They are durable bags just not as large as I need.

We used six of these to grow our potatoes this year. They worked very well and we had a good crop. When it came to harvesting we found the opening flap of very little use and had to tip the contents out of the bags. When trying to lift or move the bags for harvesting, all but one of the handles broke off and three of the bags simply fell apart. None were usable for another planting. The idea of the bags is good, but we need to find some of better quality.

Very pleased with these strong and durable growing bags! I planted potatoes in these and in a month they are growing out the top! If using inside, I do recommend placing them in a container as the bottom does hold some moisture.

I’ve used 3 of these bags for growing potatoes and my potatoes are flourishing so far. The harvesting will be the interesting part, whether I can use the velcro flap or not but it should allow me to check on how the potatoes are doing.

Overall a very sturdy bag, with a good size.

I just planted my first spuds. Good quality materials, should last a while. I thought the side port was going to be some sort of clear vinyl window for viewing, but it’s actually just a big access hole for harvesting. The access hole seals up nicely with the Velcro flap.
Overall I like the quality and price. 5 stars

What a fantastically easy way to grow potatoes. No more gardening preparation, no more having to hill your potatoes and best of all no digging to reap the rewards of your planting. All you have to do is find the sunny place around your yard, on your deck or like me on my patio. Cut your potatoes as usual, getting two eyes per piece at least, let them dry overnight to heal over the cut and get ready to plant them the next day. 3 inches of hay packed into the bottom of the containers place you potatoes in then put three more inches of hay on top water well and make sure it stays moist. Once the plants are about 2 1/2 to 3 inches out of the hay add another 3 inch layer. Continue this process until you are at the very top of the bag then just let the plant grow. Later in the summer, you can use the little flap on the side to easily get into the bag and collect some nice small young baby potatoes for yourself. After you put your plants have died off. It’s very easy to dump the bag and collect your harvest. I am going to buy more bags for next year so I will have more potatoes. Just note that four of these bags will take approximately a quarter of a standard bale of straw.

Regrettably, I am unable to take photos to show what I’m going to describe. Both the black & the gray are going to get the job of container gardening done. But, the gray pot growers are not as sturdy as the black with their sides already beginning to cave, & they have rapidly become very stained by the soil & water. The black pot growers still look brand new & stand erect. The dirty, stained appearance is really not a big deal, but I mention it because the containers are visible from the road & are less attractive than the black. However, all the pot growers have been filled equally with the same soil & additives, just with differing types of seed potatoes, so it doesn’t make sense why the sides of the gray pots are already caving. In the future, I will look to purchase only the black pot growers.

Part II~They’re Growing On Me! My complaint about the gray pots is more about asceticism than their functionality. They are stained & look ugly, so what. Although the sides of the gray ones still do not look or feel as sturdy as the black ones, they haven’t caved in altogether, they aren’t even slightly slumped, & that’s after a few heavy downpours in the last 3 weeks. The black grow bags still look brand new. Meanwhile, the seed potatoes are growing right on schedule & that’s all that really matters, right?
Maneuverability & drainage are 2 of the essentials features that are my absolute must-haves & these bags deliver on both.
5 stars this time around & I will be ordering the exact same set again!

Alright, let’s get real here. These Potato Bags are an absolute godsend for any gardening enthusiast. I’ve tried various planting methods, and I can confidently say that these bags have revolutionized my veggie-growing game.

First of all, the convenience factor is a major win. Gone are the days of backbreaking digging and tilling the soil. With these bags, you can start your potato-growing adventure with minimal effort. Just fill them up with soil, plant your spuds, and you’re good to go!

The durability of these bags is surprisingly impressive. I was a bit skeptical at first, fearing they might fall apart after a season or two. But boy, was I wrong! These babies are tough as nails and can handle the weight of the soil and your growing plants without any issues.

What I love most is the harvest window. It’s like peering into a treasure chest to see how your potatoes are doing. No more guesswork or accidentally stabbing your potatoes while checking their progress. It’s a small feature, but it makes a world of difference.

Sure, there are a few naysayers complaining about the handles, but I’ve had no problems whatsoever. Just be gentle with them, and they’ll hold up just fine. After all, gardening requires a little TLC, right?

I must admit, I’m not the most patient gardener, but these Potato Bags have taught me a thing or two about nurturing my plants. Watching my potatoes grow and flourish in these bags has been an absolute delight.

In the end, if you want a hassle-free, efficient, and rewarding gardening experience, do yourself a favor and grab these Potato Bags. You’ll have a blast watching your veggies thrive, and you might even surprise yourself with your newfound green thumb. Happy gardening, fellow plant lovers!
