I had high hopes for the Auto Face Tracking Tripod given its features, but my experience has been a bit of a mixed bag. Here’s my honest breakdown after using it for a few weeks:
What I Liked:
Impressive Tracking Capability: The face tracking works surprisingly well. It smoothly follows my movements during live videos and video calls, ensuring I stay centered even when moving around. This has been a game-changer for recording TikToks and Instagram reels hands-free.
User-Friendly Setup: I appreciated that no app was needed for setup. It connects easily, and the included remote is a nice touch for controlling recording from a distance.
Compact and Rechargeable: It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, plus the rechargeable battery is convenient and lasts a decent amount of time on a full charge.
Disappointments:
Flashlight Falls Short: One of the main reasons I bought this was for the built-in flashlight. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as advertised. It’s barely bright enough, and the lighting is uneven, which doesn’t help with video quality. I ended up using a separate ring light for better illumination.
No Included Stand: I was surprised to find that it doesn’t come with a stand. You need to have a tripod or a flat surface to place it on, which was inconvenient. I had to purchase a separate stand to get the right height for my videos.
Build Quality Could Be Better: It feels a bit flimsy, especially the phone holder. I was nervous about securely mounting my phone since it doesn’t grip as tightly as I’d like.
Overall Verdict:
This product does a decent job with auto-tracking and makes hands-free video recording much easier. However, the flashlight is underwhelming, and the lack of an included stand was disappointing. If you already have a sturdy tripod and are looking for basic tracking functionality, this could be a good addition to your setup.

Omg, who would’ve thought this is exactly what I needed for my home vlogging. It works as expected high quality, follows me as expected without issues, and its the perfect small desk sized tripod for my regular video calls with friends and family. I can charge my phon easily while using it, the light isnt so bright but its still a great product for what I paid.

This Gimbal is an excellent product for content creators who need an inexpensive face tracking camera stand. This stand was super easy to setup and very responsive. Especially compared to my last, more-expensive. Surprisingly sturdy and can even hold my heavy iPhone15 Pro Max. It even works on my tripod (if you take off the base it came with) and it comes with a handy remote for your phone. I recommend this product, especially for beginners on a budget.
Note that it moves vertically, there is no up and down movement.
