Cute window decorations for Chinese new years. The snake design is pretty and isn’t too big. It has adhesives to attach to the door/ windows or wherever you want to place it. Looking forward to using them for Chinese new year!

This review is for a pair of cute Lunar New Year decorative paper decals for the Year of the Snake. I feel like this set strikes a good balance between traditional and modern: They’re adorable snakes, but they still adhere to the red/gold color scheme and incorporate things like paper-cut imagery.

I’m knocking a half-star off because of the adhesive dots. They’re a pain to use: As soon as you peel off the film they get covered in glitter from the snakes, and ball up into a tiny dot instead of staying flat. When I used it on a window, it left adhesive behind. I would recommend just using your adhesive of choice if you’re going to put this onto your wall.

Knocking another half-star off for the title, which says these are “sticker decorations” and “window decorative couple clings.” The description of the item is accurate – these are paper card stock cut-outs that can be stuck onto a surface with adhesive dots – but the title is not accurate. They are NOT stickers, or window clings. Since they’re 3-D, they can only be adhered to the outside of the surface. I got them thinking they they would be similar to window clings, and I could put them on the inside of my house facing outward so one could see it through the window. These will not survive 15-days of mid-Atlantic weather on the exterior of my house: I set them up outside and they didn’t survive a single day before they were blown away by the wind.

But the actual couplets are great, so if you like this design I would recommend them!

With the Lunar New Year approaching, I got these 2025 snake-themed door decorations. These are super cute, and I know my kids will like seeing them up on our front door. The set includes two pieces along with little adhesives to adhere to the door, windows, or wall. It’s a great bang for your buck.

These snakes are a fantastic way to welcome the Chinese New Year.
