I’m not sure I should be doing a review on this, but I will anyway. This is an excellent baster, easy to clean, and the price is great. Great for cooking. The “but” here is because that is not what I am using it for. I water my smaller and more delicate plants with this. I can get the water exactly where I want it without wetting leaves. It’s great for my small plants and dish gardens. It would be useful in terrariums too. For plant and food use – it holds the liquid well and nothing leaks out and and you can empty the whole thing easily if you want.

I bought Ms. Turkey Baster to draw out some stuff that was left in my toilet tank after I used a product designed to remove it. The turkey baster worked real well and I am sure it would also excel when used for its intended purpose.

The function of the baster is fine. It does a good job of doing what it’s supposed to do. However, if the liquid being removed is very very hot then by the third usage on the hot liquid the bulb will pop off when you squeeze the bulb to pull in more liquid. Then there is the cleaning. We used the baster the most when we baked chicken pieces in the oven. The baster was used to remove all the liquid in the baking tray. The baster is impossible to clean, especially towards the tip. By hand with multiple brushes, dishwasher with bottle jets, soaking it super hot water, using it on plain boiling water. Nothing gets the syringe clean. We have put the baster in the workshop to use on non-food things and we have bought a glass baster to replace this one.
I cannot corroborate this as I do not have one of these basters in pristine condition, but I’m guessing that if the baster is used only with cold liquids then it should work perfectly fine. The bulb shouldn’t pop off and cleaning should be a breeze.

Didn’t know upon purchase that this brand was from Dollar Tree…however, seems sturdy and fine for basting a turkey once a year!

It is perfect for my needs. It has been durable and holds a large amount of fluid.

    Does its job

Easy to use and easy to clean! I have only used this while making full chicken dinners, about 10 so far, and it worked great! One of the issues I sometimes have with basters is premature distribution. This one holds the liquid in as needed and only distributes when squeezed. The distribution also has a smooth flow. It is perfect for my needs. The clean up is easy, and it is dishwasher safe!

OTHER brands might suck and not break, or break and not suck, or maybe they break and suck, but — you can’t put the dang thing back together again.

This thing sucks, and it breaks. And it’s perfect because I can put it all back together again EASILY after cleaning it.

I had a very old smaller baster. Right size, right price, perfect for the job. Thanks to Amazon my holiday food came out perfect.

works but the parts do separate a bit when using. good suction though

Our family stopped using paper towel to soak up the grease in the pan. Now, I use the baster and it works fast and mess free without paper towel waste.
