The media could not be loaded.

I was diligently removing bees from my cup at a festival. I had already poured out several cans to save bees and switched to pouring into a cup but even then I missed a bee. Thankfully I only got stung inside my cheek. I researched ways to keep bees out. These little tabs are so small, light, and easy to carry. They work so well to keep out bees. Added bonus, I know which can is mine. Another bonus, opening cans is easier. Very happy, much safer for me and the bees. I’ll be bringing these camping always.

Keeps the bugs out of drink cans

  3. Trish L

Love these. In fact, my whole family uses them so much I’m going to buy more to have for guests who tend to steal them.

This is the neatest product, Helps open the can then spin it around and its a perfect fit to cover the hole and keep insects out,A++++++ product.

  5. LS

Awesome product. I bought for a trip with teenagers. Everyone got 1 and I added different combinations of carabiner. Helped to keep bugs out and to help identify who’s Coke can belonged to who. I will purchase again.

If you’re looking for something to prevent spills, then this product isn’t it. However, these will work perfectly for preventing large bugs from getting inside a can. After watching my friend get stung on the lip by a bee he didn’t realize had gone into his can, I feel much better having these. Mine move smoothly with no catching on the can.

  7. Amazon Customer

These are absolutely perfect for covering your cans opening !

    当方下戸なので缶ビールには使えるのかわからないが、よく飲む缶コーヒーやエナジードリンク類の缶には軒並み使えない。

Buy it cause I’m at bartender and get my nails done regularly and now I don’t brake them anymore

  10. Matt Iannello

Easy to use, comfortable, and exactly what my wife needed! I got these for my wife who recently started getting her nails done on a regular basis (something she’s always wanted). Since she now has longer nails all the time, she’s discovered that many things aren’t easy to do anymore and she’s had to adapt. Drink cans have been the one thing she hasn’t been able to figure out; she’s popped off multiple nails trying to enjoy some of her favorite beverages and it was upsetting her. So, I took to the Internet to see what other people do in this situation; as I say often “other people must have this issue and maybe someone solved it.” Which brought me to this product! To see her face light up when I she was able to open her drinks without risking her nails, needing a butter knife, or anything that sort of works. This made her SO happy and I can’t say enough about it!

I have tried on a couple of cans. This product would be great when outdoors as insects can’t get into the can. Doesn’t totally seal the can, but still a great product and is easy to pack.

I DO like these ‘lids’. The design is ingenious. Kudos to the inventor/developer.

    PROS
    Fits the tab perfectly
    Aids in lifting tab
    Convenient ‘always on’
    Will reduce spillage

    CONS
    Will not contain carbonation
    Will not contain spillage
Does not inspire confidence in opening can
Possible injury to thumb when opening can

All that said, some context is in order. Initially, I was looking for something to contain the carbonation for cans left in the fridge overnight, and reduce some slight uneasiness about nearby science projects easing death into my soft drinks.

These looked very simple, and though pricey at eight USD, I appreciated the clever design. Ordered even though I realized these were not intended for my use case.

The work very well for their intended use, and fairly well for mine, as noted above. There is only one caveat, for which I deducted one star. (I usually don’t give the fifth star until I observe a high level of durability over time. That was not this case though.)

The width of the two ‘tines’ that encircle the tab actually *impeded* opening the can. They press on the surface of the can that doesn’t open. You’re instructed to press on the tab with your thumb while pulling up on the back of the Barricade. On two cans my thumb went into the opening somewhat. There were no cuts, but I can see that as a possibility, unless maybe you have wide meaty digits. Using the device to try to open the can gave me the impression it could snap at any second.

I found it much easier to open the tab as I always do, then attach the Barricade afterwards. For anybody who has trouble lifting the tab, using the Barricade to lift the tab up enough to grab it without the device might be a better way to go.

Aside from the price, I’d recommend these for their intended purpose. I’ll get full caps for overnight storage in the fridge, but I really like these guys for daily use. They work well enough for me and possibly better for others.
