I needed a product that could remove fabric pilling on lint covered cotton knee high socks and a overly pilling sweater that I enjoyed wearing but no longer look nice. I gave this a try due to the price and the good reviews. It is so easy to use and works wonderfully, but make sure to read in the instructions as there are some details on how to use it so it will not cause damage. The storage capacity is great if the pilling is not excessive. This fabric shaver is so fun to use when you can see the pilling disappear! The most challenging for me is opening the compartment to remove the pilling. It is a very challenging for me to open and clean, but knowing how it works helps. I maybe that my fingers are too weak due to being older. This fabric shaver is so fun to use when you see the pilling disappear before you eyes. It is more than worth the price I paid. Saw this was the #1 selling lint remover and opted to buy it because of 1) extra blades 2) uses 2 AA batteries and 3) great price. I am glad I bought it. I don’t want to repeat things everyone else is saying, so hopefully my observations can help others.

🔹It spews out a bit of lint from a tiny hole in the bottom of the handle, so keep that in mind. You’ll probably need a lint brush, small vacuum, or lint roller to clean up afterwards. Might want to stay away from kids or pets and try not to breathe in the tiny fibers while in use.

🔹For longer lasting motor, try and break up your sessions. It’s a lot more wear and tear for the blades to spin continuously for 15m compared to three 5m intervals. You can literally feel it getting a bit warm if you use it too long.

🔹Check the blades and empty trap regularly. My unit was going slower and the whirring noise sounded like it was dying, so I changed the batteries, and it did nothing until I realized there was lint trapped around the blades. This resistance will also wear out the motor faster, so it’s best to keep it clean!

I didn’t really see a purpose for the slower mode and always used it on the fastest setting because it cut more in fewer passes over the fabric. I also tested it on cashmere sweaters and it did not damage them. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.

I cannot believe such an amazing product exists 😆!! I am obsessed with this thing! I have literally donated numerous shirts I once loved because it pilled up so bad. When things get those annoying pills, it makes clothing/bedding etc look old and cheap, no matter how much they cost or how many times you’ve used them. This simple, inexpensive tool makes things look almost brand new, I couldn’t be happier I found this and have been spreading the word!

I bought this to shave a couch because couch was looking very shabby. Every surface was pilled and matted. I tried the shaver on various heights and ended up preferring the results when I removed the height adapter. The instructions were great. The quick start guide was spot on. It takes 2 AA batteries that are not included — so plan ahead to get some batteries (I did not). The battery life has been impressive too. I was able to shave a whole 120″ couch + 2 ottomans as well as a sweater on the same batteries with no problem. The lint catcher fills up pretty quickly, so that is kind of annoying, but that means it is doing its job! Removing and emptying the lint catcher is a little tricky. You have to be careful to not accidentally open the battery compartment when sliding the lint compartment in the other direction. But that’s not a huge concern. It comes with a cleaning brush and extra blades. Overall, I think it is great quality for the price and do recommend.

Very good gadget. It removes pills on all fabrics. It also has 2 extra blades , instructions and a nice little bag. Just remember to not only clear out the lint container when partially filled, but REMEMBER to clear out the blades.
If you do not do this it will slow down.

My story: I was using it when it began to slow down while using it on the high setting, then it just turned off. I emptied the lint bin, changed the batteries (2 double AA -you must supply) and it started again. After only seconds it turned off. I was confused. My spouse told me to check the blades. I removed the cap and found the blades filled with lint- they could not move. I removed the blade (just pop it out) cleaned it up, (clean gently blades are soft) put it to dry and replaced it with an extra blade (pop it back in). It worked perfectly after that. So just keep this in mind when removing lots of lint from something. This is a great investment and should last a nice amount of time especially with the extra blades.
