***EDIT: I purchased the replacement filter and it died after 9 months of use. Unsustainable to keep buying more, and after reading more reviews of others having similar problems with their pumps, we will be looking elsewhere. Especially disappointed because we took good care of it.
But hey! You get what you pay for I guess.
Original: This filter works great for my cat’s water fountain. We had to buy this replacement when our last one unexpectedly quit, though we believe this was because we unknowingly splashed some water on the attached USB plug. We’ve been using this one for about 5 months with no problem.

This product has very poor instructions, and even when followed is very difficult to clean. Many areas could be shaped thoughtfully to simplify cleaning but it seems the design process was done quickly to produce a generic product. There also is no window to see how much water is remaining so your pet suddenly has no water and the pump is gasping until refilled. The unit often would pump faster than the water drained so the water overflowed from the unit.

Ever since I got this product I’ve tried to make it work- but the motor won’t even stay running pumping water for a full day – every day I have to shake around the little pump unplug it, get new water. It’s super annoying 🙁

Very nice design and quiet when running. My only complaint is that a little after 3 months of having the product, the filter died randomly one day after being turned off for regular cleaning. Not sure where or what to do about replacing the filter, as the item is now outside of the return window and I’m unable to contact the seller directly regarding this issue.
