For Tiger Skin Cakes, you need to buy from this brand. We have tried several other brands, this is by far the best one. Strangely enough, this cake pleases every one in my family — my husband and kids love super super sweet stuff and I like medium sweetness, but somehow we all love this cake.

The texture of this is heavenly, its so soft and pillowy but its still a bit dense. like a mix between an angel food cake and a pound cake! The first time I tried this, I didn’t care for the flavor really, but now I like it a lot!! It’s sorta eggy and lightly sweet, not like anything ive ever had before. Definitely give it a try if you’ve never had it before

Surprisingly good! It’s soft and fluffy like clouds with beautiful layering of the tiger skin, the barley flavor and a thin layer of something like a custard in the middle. Not too sweet.

These tiger skin cakes are fantastic. There are two layers to the cake. The bottom is a pillowy vanilla cake with a thin layer of almost custard goodness on top that completes the tiger skin. These cakes are delicious with coffee, and they’re great as a nice comforting snack during the day at home or on the go.
